Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr. warned his teammates and the football world that “the good stuff is coming” following another fantastic brace against Osasuna on Saturday.

The Brazilian scored his fifth and sixth goals of the month in El Sadar, as Los Blancos cruised to a 4-2 win, and could have easily had a hat trick.

Post match, Vinicius revealed that he doesn’t think about the chances he converts and instead worries about the ones missed in order to “score more goals”.

“I don’t think about the chances I score, but I do think now after the game when I fail. I’m working every day to score more goals,” he told Real Madrid TV.

In blistering form as of late, after sitting out a good chunk of the season thanks to injury, Vinicius said that he is “feeling great” and “always trying to improve my game”.

“The Mister (Carlo Ancelotti) gave me this freedom [to cut more inside] and I’m taking advantage of it,” Vinicius stressed.

While Vinicius blew his own trumpet, he said it was a “great game, not only from me, but from the whole team” in a weekend where Madrid can finish this phase of the campaign before the international break at least eight points clear even if FC Barcelona beats their crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday evening.

“We’re having a brutal season. We defend very well and in attack we all have our arrows up,” he said.

As Madrid heads into the business end of 2023/2024, and has a Champions League showdown with a Manchester City team that Ancelotti confessed is “one of the best in Europe” on the horizon, Vinicius warned that the “good stuff is coming and we all have to be ready for good games”.

“We have to be at our best. We have to continue like this, like today, when we won in a difficult ground,” Vinicius concluded.

Vinicius’ performance came amid a report from Relevo explaining that his relationship with the club was thrown into ‘crisis’ ahead of a Valencia trip he initially refused to make because of a social media post.

All appeared well in Pamplona, however, and even though Ancelotti accepted his number 7 must “learn to control himself a little better” after picking up a fourth consecutive yellow card, the Italian was simultaneously full of praise for an “extraordinary” Vinicius.
