Three firefighters were taken to a hospital for evaluation and one resident was taken for smoke inhalation, according to NBC Miami—and others were reportedly treated at the scene.
The Miami Police Department urged the public to avoid the Lummus Park area near the building in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Representatives for the Miami Fire Department and Miami Police Department did not immediately respond to Forbes’ requests for comment.
CBS Miami reported the man who was found shot on the third floor is now in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
