The Chainlink standard has become the core solution for Hedera as the leading enterprise-grade public network for decentralized economies after the implementation of the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on its mainnet. It gives the developer access to secure applications with cross-chain capabilities. The Hedera Team announced that this integration serves to expand both the DeFi and RWA ecosystems.
The Chainlink standard for cross-chain interoperability is officially live on @hedera mainnet, a member of Chainlink Scale via @HBAR_foundation.

Seamless Cross-Chain Connectivity
Through its support of 46 blockchains Chainlink CCIP lets Hedera developers conduct transactions for token transfers along with message dispatch and execution activities between different chain platforms.
The reliability and security of Chainlink oracle networks have been demonstrated in the market through their support of over $20 trillion on-chain transaction value alongside $75 billion in DeFi total value locked at its peak. The continuous operation of CCIP enables faultless execution in cross-chain operations thus serving as a key foundation for Hedera’s growing ecosystem deployment.
Empowering Developers with Advanced Tools
The integration builds upon HBAR Foundation’s previous participation in Chainlink Scale which added Data Feeds and Proof of Reserves to Hedera last year. Through its CCIP infrastructure developers now have direct access to deploy on 41+ chains as the platform uses future-proofed architectural systems. Through the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard, developers can add existing or new tokens to the CCIP security platform quickly using Token Manager while retaining full control over deployment.
Driving DeFi and RWA Adoption With Hedera
The implementation of CCIP will boost its DeFi and tokenized RWA systems by creating a secure blockchain-to-blockchain liquidity flow for users. The director of developer advocacy Greg Scullard at Hashgraph acknowledged that secure blockchain interoperability stands essential for the growth of DeFi and the tokenized RWA ecosystem.
Hedera community members are eager to create new cross-chain applications that will emerge through the adoption of CCIP.
From the perspective of Thodoris Karakostas at Chainlink Labs who leads Blockchain Partnerships, CCIP offers a path to greater adoption as well as increased interconnectedness among Hedera’s ecosystems.
A Future-Ready Digital Economy
Hedera utilizes its proprietary hashgraph technology to provide digital economy applications with fast reliable service alongside carbon-negative operation parameters establishing the platform as the industry trust foundation. A global council consisting of diverse institutions leads the network to support applications of all sizes in DeFi tokenization and artificial intelligence. Through its CCIP partnership with Chainlink, Hedera could become a leader in developing innovative Web3 solutions for developers along with users of its network.
