Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.77%, while the index gained 0.87%, and the index climbed 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 7.39% or 1.79 points to trade at 26.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 4.43% or 23.80 points to end at 560.60 and Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) was up 2.54% or 1.90 points to 76.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.17% or 5.00 points to trade at 225.50 at the close. Brenntag AG (ETR:) declined 1.07% or 0.82 points to end at 75.66 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) was down 0.71% or 1.70 points to 238.00.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.11% to 52.00, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.72% to settle at 115.75 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.26% to close at 12.35.
The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 2.88% to 144.80 in late trade, Lanxess AG (ETR:) which lost 1.51% to settle at 27.46 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 1.38% to 27.10 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.26% to 12.35, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.07% to settle at 14.43 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 3.04% to close at 42.02.
The worst performers were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 1.38% to 27.10 in late trade, Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which lost 1.22% to settle at 64.80 and Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 1.17% to 80.15 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 382 to 230 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.43% or 23.80 to 560.60. Shares in Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.54% or 1.90 to 76.61.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.56% to 14.49.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.90 to $2,346.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.59% or 1.38 to hit $85.53 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.77% or 1.61 to trade at $89.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 103.97.
