Ariana Grande is back at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week, for the first time in several years. The pop singer’s latest full-length Eternal Sunshine debuts atop the tally with ease, as it launches with the largest starting sum of 2024.

Eternal Sunshine blasts onto the Billboard 200 with 227,000 equivalent units shifted. That number is made up of 77,000 actual sales, 148,000 streaming equivalent units, and 2,000 track sale equivalents, which are composed of people buying one or a handful of songs from the set (but not the whole set).

The new No. 1 was a huge success on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon
AMZN
Music, and many others. The tracks featured on Eternal Sunshine racked up just under 195 million streams in the first seven days they were available to play. Those listens were combined into the 148,000 streaming equivalent units mentioned above.

Eternal Sunshine marks Grande’s sixth No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She has previously ruled over the ranking of the most-consumed albums in the U.S. with all of the following titles: Yours Truly, My Everything, Sweetener, Thank U, Next, and most recently, Positions.

In addition to her half-dozen No. 1 titles, Grande has also reached the top 10 with one other title. Dangerous Woman missed the throne by just one space back in 2016. Eternal Sunshine is now her seventh top 10, and her ninth title to reach the Billboard 200.

Eternal Sunshine was fronted by the single “Yes, And?” That track was a massive hit from the moment it dropped, and it has remained on the Hot 100 since it first arrived more than a month ago. The dance-pop tune debuted at No. 1 on the chart, giving Grande her eighth leader.

In a day or so, it’s expected that the new single from Eternal Sunshine, “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” will also enjoy a healthy start on the Hot 100. There’s a good chance that it will also debut at No. 1, though that’s not certain.

It’s also likely that most, if not all, of the tracks featured on Eternal Sunshine will find their way to the Hot 100. Grande could earn a dozen new placements on the competitive ranking of the most popular songs in the U.S., though where they’ll rank–and whether or not all of them will be able to break onto the tally–won’t be revealed until Billboard announces the final results.
