World of Women (WoW) has teamed up with artist Sara Baumann for a powerful new NFT portrait series that highlights four leading women in Web3 as iconic Western pioneers. This initiative, launching on the Etherlink – Tezos blockchain L2, is aimed at elevating women who are reshaping the decentralized technology landscape.

Reimagining Women as Pioneers of Change

The series captures the strength and vision of Web3 leaders like Jill Gunter (Espresso Systems), Winny.eth (Chipped), Evin McMullen (Privado ID), and Tina He (Base). These portraits not only celebrate their achievements but also underscore the often-overlooked role of women in tech.
As Sara Baumann states, “These portraits are more than likenesses—they tell the story of women who refuse to wait for permission to build the future.”
This collection is a direct response to the systemic barriers that women in tech face. With women founders raising just a fraction of the capital compared to their male counterparts—often four times less—this project aims to shift the narrative.

Creating Pathways for Inclusion

To ensure accessibility, the portraits are being minted for free on Etherlink, removing financial barriers to entry. This aligns with WoW’s mission to foster economic inclusion and provide a seamless on-chain experience for women interested in crypto.
WoW’s CEO, Taisia Antonova, emphasizes, “When women only represent 15% of investment teams, and women raise far less capital, we must create new opportunities.”
The initiative reflects WoW’s broader commitment to empowering women in Web3, following a track record of deploying $3M to nonprofits and supporting over 500 artists.

The series will launch at ETHDenver 2025 with key events:

SheFi Summit (Feb 26): Panels, networking, and activations.
Nolcha Shows Opening Party (Feb 26): Printed portrait gallery exhibition.

Join the Movement

Minting opens February 25 on AFFC.club as a free open edition on Etherlink, with all transaction costs covered by WoW— reinforcing their mission of creating accessible pathways for women to engage with blockchain.

WoW is also building momentum ahead of the launch with appearances at NFT Paris and the launch of the Anti-Farming Farming Club. The brand will also make waves at NFC Lisbon in June.
