The top performers on the S&P 500 were Ford Motor Company (NYSE:) which rose 6.10% to 12.88, United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 4.98% to settle at 53.94 and NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:) which gained 4.35% to close at 795.18.
The worst performers were Cardinal Health Inc (NYSE:) which was down 4.95% to 102.83 in late trade, Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:) which lost 4.67% to settle at 38.60 and Newmont Goldcorp Corp (NYSE:) which was down 4.00% to 37.46 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Matterport Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 175.86% to 4.80, AGBA Acquisition Ltd (NASDAQ:) which was up 100.00% to settle at 2.50 and Moolec Science SA (NASDAQ:) which gained 78.99% to close at 2.47.
The worst performers were Vaxxinity Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 43.37% to 0.27 in late trade, Hepion Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 32.86% to settle at 1.41 and Inhibikase Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 32.84% to 1.37 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 2041 to 813 and 71 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2030 rose and 1321 declined, while 125 ended unchanged.
