The V and B group moved into its new premises “in just one day”. A feat given that the move concerned around 180 employees. It was October 27, and it concerns the support functions of the franchise group. The result of an investment of 4 million euros and five years of reflection, the new headquarters is located 500 meters from the previous one and 300 meters from the purchasing center.
More interactions between services
The new Château-Gontier headquarters offers 2,300 m2 of work space, largely open and in collaborative space. “We wondered about the way our employees wanted to work, about having more interactions between departments, and therefore about the needs for common spaces,” explains Céline Lebreton, employee experience manager, who led the design of this new headquarters.
“We wanted a building in the image of V and B, which contributes to conviviality and to carrying out group projects.” Transparent partitions also accentuate the brightness of the building built on the basis of two old farms. “We start from the principle that we have nothing to hide in terms of our teams,” continues Céline Lebreton. “And in practice, we find that this creates a new dynamic between employees. But for those who want it, it there is always a way to go to work in small, more isolated places, in one, two or three groups. We also used the lessons of Covid to know that two colleagues do not have to be side by side from 9:00 in the morning to work together.”‘
This week, the group also received the keys to its new 6,000 m warehouse.2 which will relieve the purchasing center of 12,000 m2 built in 2015.
