The regional engineering schools IMT Mines Albi (Tarn) and IMT Mines Alès (Gard), as well as Mines Saint-Etienne (Loire), are equipped with a joint research chair intended to develop interoperable digital twins: these modeling must enable productivity gains within a production or logistics system, and be capable of interacting with it. The chair’s R&D work will deal with digital twins end-to-end, from their design to their development and maintenance. They will be tested and optimized thanks to the support of the three sponsors of the chair: Siemens Digital Industries Software, Laboratoires Pierre Fabre and Inoprod. At IMT Mines Alès, research will focus on the engineering and maintenance of digital twins, while at its Albigensian counterpart, it will target the coupling of digital twins with artificial intelligence tools.
