After the outcry arising from Air France’s decision to no longer provide connections between Orly airport and those of Nice and Marseille from the summer of 2026 in favor of Roissy, and to switch the service to its subsidiary Transavia, the airline and the South Region announce today that they are “committing to work together for quality service solutions between Paris-Orly and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur” and this, “with full support from the Minister of Transport. This involves in particular maintaining “a consistent air offer” between destinations – particularly towards the Côte d’Azur which is sorely lacking a high-speed rail link to Paris -, both “in terms of quality, reliability and robustness. Renaud Muselier, president of the South Region, is due to receive this Wednesday, November 15, the president of the Air France-KLM group, Anne-Marie Couderc, as well as its general director, Anne Rigail.
