Aerocampus Aquitaine (more than 300 employees, 15 schools and nearly 300 students), an aeronautics and space training campus based in Latresne (Gironde), recently announced the signing of a “strategic alliance contract” and a brand license contract with Aerotech OI, an aeronautical center (training, maintenance and innovation) based in Reunion. It sets out the terms of cooperation on training actions and the use of the Aerocampus brand and its concept on site in a future site which will use the Gironde model. This off-site campus called Aerocampus Indian Ocean “will see the light of day in a few months, offering initial and continuing training for technical and commercial flight personnel, maintenance professions, for young people and people far from the employment by relying on existing training establishments, their facilities and the expertise of Aerocampus Aquitaine”, indicates Aérocampus. A prospective study by Aerotech identified a strong need for local training in aeronautics, particularly in maintenance.
