The small Free package, the one at €2, is now (almost) at the level of the operator’s other plans with regard to 4G (VoLTE) and Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) calls. These two functions are currently being deployed.
It’s not because we have a small package that we have to endure discounted functions! Free subscribers with the €2 per month package will be entitled in the coming days to two new features that have been waiting for a long time: VoLTE and VoWiFi. As their names suggest, it involves making and receiving calls on the 4G network for the first, on Wi-Fi for the second.
We get along better
The audio quality will be much better than 3G, and with VoWiFi, we will be able to enjoy it at the back of a building, where cellular networks sometimes have difficulty penetrating. For €2 subscribers, these two new features are currently being deployed. Be careful though, you will need to have a compatible smartphone (Free maintains a very complete compatibility list to consult at this address). And also have activated the option Data Service in the subscriber area.
After years of waiting, the operator also activated these two options to all of its Free 5G and Free Series subscribers (until now, only subscribers to the €19.99 package were entitled to them). They are automatically activated upon a new subscription or during a migration.
