Little end-of-year gift for seasoned Logic Pro users on iPad! Apple has updated its professional music creation software with new features. A first since the launch of the application.
Announced last May, the iPad version of Logic Pro demonstrated that Apple could finally adapt its most professional software to its tablets (at the same time, Final Cut Pro was also optimized for the iPad). But since the spring, the manufacturer had not updated the music creation and editing software, except for a patch last month.
Finally, Split View compatibility!
A new version 1.1 has appeared on the App Store, with several new features! A mastering assistant thus appears with a dedicated range of tools to obtain a ready-to-use mix. It is also possible to record live in Quick Sampler — an instrument and drum creation tool — with the built-in microphone or any other audio device.
Above all, Logic Pro finally offers support for Split View and Stage Manager! These functions allow you to display several application windows at the same time on the tablet screen. In this way, it becomes possible to easily drag/drop files between an app (Files or Dictaphone, for example) to Logic.
At the same time, Apple is also updating the Mac version of Logic Pro, where we find the mastering assistant as well as Mac-specific functions. The two software programs therefore continue to get closer, while strengthening integration with their preferred platform. On Mac, the software is sold for €230. On iPad, Apple offers a subscription for €4.99 monthly, or €49 per year. We are now waiting for news from Final Cut Pro…
