For Halloween, Burger King diverts the fear of artificial intelligence (AI) in a “happy Halloween” campaign signed Buzzman. I subscribe
Burger King is taking advantage of Halloween celebrations on October 31 to unveil a… scary campaign. Signed by his agency Buzzman, of course! The fast-food brand did not use monsters of all kinds to “scare”… but to artificial intelligence (AI). Burger King, considering it alarming “the place that artificial intelligence is taking in our world – a technology offering infinite opportunities in multiple areas but also raising many concerns about its potential abuses (manipulation of public opinion, attacks on privacy, cyberattack, threat to employment…)”, decided to lightly deflect this fear of AI in its “happy ialloween” campaign. A political campaign?
In a film and posters generated by an AI, Burger King customers taste a burger and lose all human form from the first bite. A distressing “bug”, while the artificial intelligence received fairly simple prompts, explain Burger King and Buzzman, such as “a woman eating a burger” or “a man eating in a Burger King”.
The campaign, 100% social media, is visible from October 31.
