Real Madrid has set a transfer budget of $97.5 million (€90 million) this summer according to SPORT, which cited anonymous sources.

President Florentino Perez has already achieved a major coup by finally landing Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain after at least two well-known, failed attempts in 2017 and 2022.

Currently playing the Euros with the French national team in Germany, Mbappe will join his new club following the competition with a presentation before 80,000 fans at the Bernabeu planned to take place on July 16 ahead of Los Blancos heading off to the United States on a preseason friendly tour.

Mbappe has been added to the first team squad on the club’s official website, and is joined in the forwards department by the other major signing sealed in the run up to 2024/2025, Endrick.

In late 2022, Perez struck a deal with the club that reared the 17-year-old in Sao Paulo giants Palmeiras, which could reach north of $65 million (€60 million) one day.

As things stand, those are the only two acquisitions made to boost Carlo Ancelotti’s treble-winning squad, but that doesn’t mean the La Liga giant from the Spanish capital doesn’t have other targets.

Since the turn of 2024, it has been well known Madrid would also like to boast Lille central defender Leny Yoro and Bayern left back Alphonso Davies.

Funnily enough, both players, who have turned down renewal offers, are in identical situations with their current employers given that they have contracts which expire on June 30, 2025.

This means that the ongoing summer transfer window is realistically the last which these outfits have to cash in on their sought-after players, and this factor could push them into accepting a cut fee from Madrid if or when heading to the negotiation table.

With that in mind, SPORT says that Madrid has set a budget of “€70-80 million” ($75-85 million) plus a further $11-21 million (€10-20 million) in incentives.

If Lille and Bayern Munich don’t want to entertain offers that fall within this limit, Madrid will wait to sign Yoro and Davies for free in 2025, which is when it also expect sto land Germany wonderboy Florian Wirtz according to SPORT.
