Paramore emerged from Record Store Day 2024 as one of the biggest winners. The rock band served as ambassadors for the music industry-wide event, which sees many musicians releasing special projects and collectibles that are only available in independent record stores. Following the latest iteration of the one-day sales bonanza, the Grammy-winning group doesn’t just hit the charts—they collect a pair of new wins.

Two titles from Paramore sold well enough during Record Store Day 2024 to debut on the Top Album Sales chart. That’s Billboard’s ranking of the albums and EPs that actually sold the most copies during the past tracking period. The roster’s methodology separates it from the Billboard 200, which takes into account streaming activity.

The highest-ranking of Paramore’s new releases is Re: This Is Why / This Is Why. The combo of their latest album and the remixed version of the set opens at No. 28 on the ranking. According to Luminate, that offering launches with 3,331 copies sold.

Re: This Is Why / This Is Why sold well enough in its first tracking week that it debuts on a pair of Billboard charts. The title also blasts onto the Vinyl Albums tally at No. 14. On that list, it becomes the band’s sixth appearance.

Further down on the same list, Re: This Is Why also reaches the Top Album Sales chart for the first time. The remixed project was released months ago, but it’s only now placing on this roster. Re: This Is Why is new at No. 41 with 2,483 copies sold.

With two new hits, Paramore ups their count of appearances on the Top Album Sales chart significantly. Before this frame, they had only earned seven placements on the tally. Now, they’re up to nine. That means that their Record Store Day offerings are responsible for more than 20% of all the band’s career wins on the chart.

Paramore is the only act that earns more than one debut on the Top Album Sales chart, but they are far from the only name that launches a new project on the tally. The alternative rockers come in behind starts from the likes of Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, BoyNextDoor, Anne Wilson, and several others.
