The number of XRP holders with balances worth at least $1 million has reduced over the past few weeks amid price struggles.
For context, the broader market’s bearish direction has dictated XRP’s price action since February 2025. The altcoin collapsed nearly 30% that month, with the downward pressure spilling into March. However, XRP’s resilience has triggered a 6.98% rebound so far this month.
Despite this, the market is still in a delicate position amid the bearish pressure. On-chain data provided by the community-driven Rich-list resource shows that amid the price drop, the number of XRP millionaires has dropped.
Notably, at the current price of $2.3, an investor would need to hold about 434,782 XRP to sit on $1 million. Nonetheless, when XRP changed hands at the $3 mark, market participants with 333,333 tokens had holdings worth $1 million. The 333,333 tokens are now valued at $766,666, pricing these investors out of the millionaire club.
XRP Millionaires at Current Price
According to on-chain data, investors holding between 500,000 XRP ($1.15 million) and 1 million XRP ($2.3 million), the lowest tier of millionaire addresses at current price, total 2,278.
Further, investors with balances ranging from 1 million XRP ($1.15 million) to 5 million XRP ($11.5 million) now amount to 1,922. This category of wallets holds over 4.4 billion XRP, representing about 7.5% of the circulating XRP supply of 58.1 billion tokens.
Meanwhile, data indicates that there are only 208 whale addresses holding between 5 million XRP ($11.5 million) and 10 million XRP ($23 million), with these whales cumulatively controlling 1.397 billion XRP.
XRP Rich List
However, more investors hold balances ranging from 10 million XRP ($23 million) to 20 million XRP ($46 million), amounting to 270 at press time.
Those holding between 100 million tokens ($230 million) and 500 million XRP ($1.15 billion) total 56, while only 24 wallets hold between 500 million and 1 billion XRP, likely Ripple-affiliated wallets and exchanges. Further, 5 wallets hold 1 billion XRP and more.
Together, there are about 4,904 millionaire XRP addresses, representing only 0.077% of the total XRP wallets at 6.288 million.
Persistent Accumulation Trend
Interestingly, while millionaire addresses have reduced in recent times, the ones who remain have continued to increase their balances in what seems like a “buy-the-dip” push.
According to data from Santiment, investors holding between 1 million and 100 million XRP have added to their holdings over the past month. Notably, those with 1 million to 10 million XRP have accumulated 200 million XRP since Feb. 17, now holding 5.61 billion tokens. Meanwhile, the ones with 10 million to 100 million XRP now hold 6.83 billion XRP, having amassed 290 million tokens since late February.
