In addition to earning a Super Bowl ring and making the history books, players profit financially from clinching the win.
The rates for this year’s game were decided in the 2020 collective bargaining agreement. The winners get $178,000, while the losing team will take home $103,000 per player, $7,000 more than last year.
Those bonuses are on top of already hefty salaries for certain players. Some also have incentives or bonuses baked into their contracts for winning the Super Bowl.
