Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.34% to hit a new all time high, while the index gained 0.21%, and the index fell 0.07%.

The best performers of the session on the were Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:), which rose 2.25% or 1.62 points to trade at 73.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) added 2.04% or 2.12 points to end at 106.24 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 1.87% or 0.46 points to 25.12 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.96% or 11.30 points to trade at 370.40 at the close. Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) declined 1.48% or 1.38 points to end at 92.14 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 1.36% or 2.20 points to 159.60.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 10.08% to 40.84, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.59% to settle at 53.70 and Puma SE (ETR:) which gained 2.06% to close at 40.05.

The worst performers were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which was down 3.26% to 104.00 in late trade, Kion Group AG (ETR:) which lost 2.58% to settle at 49.53 and Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which was down 2.17% to 34.20 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 10.08% to 40.84, Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was up 3.18% to settle at 71.40 and Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.87% to close at 39.42.

The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.96% to 370.40 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 2.00% to settle at 53.90 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.83% to 20.42 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 329 to 293 and 33 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.79% or 17.00 to $2,177.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.50% or 1.21 to hit $81.84 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.32% or 1.12 to trade at $85.95 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.93.
