Recruitment prospects in the digital sector have undergone significant transformations since the Covid-19 crisis. Hymane Ben Aoun, general director of the Humanskills recruitment platform, highlights a trend towards less intense but more targeted hiring in the field. “Professions have specialized in digital, but we are observing new transformations directly linked to the development of artificial intelligence,” she specifies. In this more tense context in terms of digital recruitment, Humanskills reveals which professions in the sector are likely to experience significant increases in their remuneration in 2024.
AI expert, SRE engineer… five digital professions should see their salaries increase by more than 10% on average next year. It should be noted, however, that the salary increases mentioned in the table below do not concern current employees. Rather, they apply to employees seeking to change employers. Thus, the percentage increase indicated represents the average additional remuneration obtained when hired by a new company.
Other professions that will see their salaries increase
Other digital professions should also see significant increases in 2024, although more moderate:
- Data engineer: +7%
- Product manager: +6%
- Product owner: +2%
- Product designer: +2%
- E-merchandise: +6%
- E-retail manager: +8%
The post-Covid context has led to an explosion in recruitment in the field of “marketplaces” (multi-seller e-commerce sites), with each company having decided to create its own platform. Amazon is the perfect example of this expansion: “The marketplace field has created a lot of jobs. The number of jobs created has increased 10-fold since 2020”, explains Hymane Ben Aoun. This has benefited profiles such as business developers, e-merchandisers and e-retail managers.
However, it predicts that 2024 will mark a period of readjustment for marketplace professions, indicating a possible stabilization of activity in the field. This development is partly due to the growing rise of artificial intelligence, which logically benefits professions linked to AI, these becoming more and more central in the development strategy of companies. This is evidenced by the significant increases in anticipated remuneration for these professions (AI expert and data engineer) next year. “Great opportunities are ahead”concludes the expert.
