The video was posted this weekend on the Telegram channel of Ukraine’s 47th Motorized Brigade.

Filmed by an aerial drone, it shows Russian troops closing in on Ukrainian soldiers in a dugout in a field on the fringes of a forest in Pokrovsk, the posting said.

A Russian soldier approaches the dugout when there is a barrage of Ukrainian artillery fire. He falls down, apparently injured.

A Bradley IVF, an armored vehicle supplied to Ukraine by the US, then speeds down a road and stops by the dugout as the Ukrainian soldiers pile in.

While retreating, the Bradley’s crew fires canon fire rounds into the forest where Russian forces are concealed.

The US, Ukraine’s most important ally, delivered its first batch of Bradleys to Ukraine in 2003 to help it battle the Russian invasion.

The vehicle has since become among Ukraine’s most important pieces of military equipment.

Experts told Business Insider in August that the Bradley’s versatility means it is used by Ukraine for a number of vital front-line tasks.

It has armor capable of withstanding Russian artillery attacks, can travel at a speed of 40 mph, and has powerful 25 mm M242 chain guns,

Bradleys have come out on top in Ukrainian confrontations with Russian tanks and armored vehicles, are used on raids on Russian positions, and in dramatic operations to evacuate troops, such as that in the video this weekend.

The 47th Mechanized Brigade, whose troops were involved in the evacuation, is one of Ukraine’s most battle-hardened and effective units.

According to reports, the unit, trained by NATO instructors, uses US-made military equipment such as Bradley and M1 Abrams tanks and is often deployed to the scenes of the heaviest fighting on the front line.

Ukraine is currently battling intense Russian attacks in Donetsk, where the Kremlin’s forces are making incremental gains. But Ukraine has also opened another front in the war, launching an audacious cross-border attack in Russia’s Kursk region.

Bradley IFVs are reportedly among the Western-supplied equipment Ukraine is using in the attacks on Russia, with Russian videos showing its forces targeting the vehicles in videos last week.
