Black Sabbath is enjoying a huge week on the Billboard charts in America. The hard rock band has pushed one of their classics back to several rankings while simultaneously earning a new win. That’s a big feat for a group that was founded decades ago, and their latest placement speaks to the fact that they still claim a huge fan base in this country.

Anno Domini: 1989-1995, a new box set from the band, debuts on three rankings in the U.S. It manages to crack the top 10 on one of those tallies, bringing the outfit back to the highest reaches of the list.

Black Sabbath’s new collection opens at No. 10 on the Top Album Sales chart. Anno Domini: 1989-1995 marks the group’s third appearance inside the top 10 tier on Billboard’s list of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in the country.

Anno Domini: 1989-1995 launches inside the loftiest region with a little more than 7,200 copies sold, according to Luminate. That’s a very healthy figure for a box set–especially one that sold for more than $50 or more.

Black Sabbath first cracked the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart a little more than a decade ago. The rockers’ 13 opened at No. 1 on the list, and it remains their only leader. Just a few years ago in 2021, they returned to the highest arena with Heaven and Hell, which stalled at No. 7.

As it lands inside the top 10 on the Top Album Sales list, Anno Domini: 1989-1995 also debuts on two other Billboard lists. The title is new at No. 11 on the Vinyl Albums chart, narrowly missing out on becoming another top 10 for the group. The same box set starts at No. 15 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart.

As Anno Domini: 1989-1995 debuts, Black Sabbath’s self-titled debut album is also back in a major way. The title reappears on the Top Album Sales tally at No. 23 and No. 6 on the Vinyl Albums list. Those are new peaks on both rosters.
